Christmas eve is just around the corner. I'm sure few of us still looking for ideas on how to have an enjoyable holiday with their kids during christmas holiday. First thing you need to do is keep away all the television, videos, game console, or even computer from your kids and spend the moments with them the old fashion way. It doesn't cost you anything and can be done just around your house. Here are a few suggestion for you.
1. Treasure hunt
This is really simple. What you need to do is hide something from your kids and give them some clue where to find the item. But don't make the clue difficult, just enough for them to think themselves. They are still kids!
2. Charades
Some people call it "Give us the clue" game, the aim of Charades is to guess the title of a book, song, tv show, or movie by just using hand sign and movement alone. I like to play this game the most.
3. Animal, Mineral or Vegetable?
This game is good for kids to build up their brain and be more imaginative. To play this game, pretend to be something or someone else. Other person need to guess what they are by asking few questions and the allowable answer is only either "yes" or "no".
4. Yarn Ball
Prepare a ping pong ball or other small ball and place them inside a basket or box. Line up your kids and each of them is holding one spoon. At the other side should have another basket, opposite of your kids. After you given the start signal, each of them should pick up one ball from the basket using the spoon and put it inside the other basket. If the ball is dropped, they should start again from the beginning. You can play this game inside the house is enough space available.
5. Guessing the weight of christmas pudding
Prepare some christmas pudding and ask your kids to guess the weight of the pudding. Better if you can put a few pudding with different sizes. To make it more interesting, offer your kids prize if they can guess correctly.
